Mobül Helps Facilitate Scooter Program at Cal State Long Beach

  • News

Mobül helped California State Long Beach acquire six mobility scooters to check out to students who have temporary disabilities due to injuries, illness or surgery. Four scooters will be used by Disabled Student Services and two will be used by Student Health Services. The program was initiated by a student, Marvin Flores, who tore his ACL while playing soccer and had to traverse the large, hilly campus on crutches for a month. He knew there had to be a better way. Working with Dave Sanfilippo, Director of Disabled Student Services and Wayne Slavitt, Mobül’s Founder and CEO, Flores’ idea resulted in the first program of its kind on a California State University Campus. Mobül is proud to be a resource for the entire community.
